My Name is Jamaal Thomas, I am 12 years old and I attend MS 4 in New Jersey. My interest include reading, doing mathematics, spending time with my family and most of all being very creative.
The 1960s were a period of many changes.It was the decade of change in music, politics and society all over.It started in the United States and the United Kingdom, and spread to continental Europe and other parts of the globe. The 1960s were an era of protest. In the civil rights movement blacks and whites protested against the unfair treatment of races. Towards the end of the decade more and more Americans protested against the war in Vietnam. Many people in the United States thought that Americans had no reason to fight in war that was so far away from home.
My Timeline which is called "Jamaal Interactive Time Line" illustrates many of these historical events between the year 1950 and 1970.It will take you through an era which I thought was very educational as well as extremely interesting.
